Water Conservation

Living in the City of Windsor, surrounded by the Great Lakes, it's hard to imagine the possibility of not having an abundant source of water right at our fingertips. However, the fact of the matter is that even in this region, our water resources are not endless.

In order to ensure a healthy and fresh water supply for generations to come, everybody needs to contribute their fair share in saving water at home, work, school, and in the community.

Taking Water Conservation to the Airwaves

CKLW's Noon Hour Report with Arms Bumanlag provided another forum to promote water conservation to the community on May 29th. John Stuart and Sylvia de Vries joined Arms Bumanlag to speak about the water deficiency plight faced by southern and mid-west states in the USA. Our message was that if we are serious about protecting our local water resource, we must be mindful of how we use water now.

Water conservation tips were provided to encourage listeners to alter their water use habits now and implement low-flow aeriation devices when doing home improvements.

Arms introduced Dewy the Waterdrop to CKLW listeners and encouraged them to visit WUC's website to view The Story of Water - featuring Dewy.
