As the Windsor Utilities Commission continues to change out our older meters, there are a small number of meters which still measure in cubic feet rather than in cubic metres.
Of the approximately 72,000 meters in our system, there are 120 meters that still measure in cubic feet, and it is our intent to replace these meters by the end of 2010.
If you have a cubic foot measured meter, you will notice a conversion factor on your monthly bill that is used to convert your volume from cubic feet to cubic metres. Our cubic foot meters register in increments of 100 cubic feet (CCF), with 100 CCF equalling 2.8317 cubic metres. If you have a CCF meter, you will see this multiplier (2.8317) on your bill. It is used to convert your metered usage back to cubic metres for billing purposes.
