What's New With District Energy?
A recently completed study has shown that over the last three years alone, the customers connected to the DEW hot water system have saved the Windsor environment an estimated 9,710 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere, compared to if they had installed their own boilers.
Calculations have shown that the seasonal weighted average efficiency of the DEW hot water system is 90% compared to 65-70% which is the standard efficiency of a stand alone boiler.
