Essex Region Children's Water Festival
Windsor Utilities Commission is again proud to sponsor this year's Essex Region Children's Water Festival. Held annually during the last week of May/first week of June at the Canadian Transportation Museum and Heritage Village, the festival continues to be a smashing success.
From Tuesday through Friday, grades three, four and five students from regional schools participate in various activities that encourage positive attitudes about protecting, restoring and conserving water.
WUC staff provides further insight about the water treatment process through a visual presentation featuring Dewy the Waterdrop. Dewy takes students on his personal journey from the Detroit River through the total water treatment and distribution process right to Billy's home!
